This handy device makes it easy to prime Black Berkey® Filtration Elements without needing a faucet, pressurized or potable water.
Reversing the Black Berkey Primer™ parts makes it easy to quickly draw most of the water out of Black Berkey® Elements which shortens the drying time needed before storage.
The Black Berkey Primer™ can also be used to clean (backflush) accumulated debris from the interior pores of the Black Berkey® Filtration Elements.

- One end of the Black Berkey Primer™ screws onto the threaded end of the Black Berkey® Filtration Element.
Submerse the element in water.
Slowly squeeze and release the black bulb of the Primer until water comes out the elbow at its upper end.
Water has now been sucked into the element, forcing air out of the tiny pores inside the element.
The element is now ready for use.
This process make take several minutes to complete for each element.
Clean with mild soap and warm water. Air dry thoroughly before storage.
Store in a cool dry place and keep out of direct sunlight.
